Jamia Millia University, New Delhi, a came into existence in 1988 by an Act of Parliament, as per the uniform procedure followed for all Central Universities in India. It has 29 departments and 121 courses are offered at the graduation and post- graduation levels. While the number of students registered with the University is almost around 14,000, the strength of the teaching faculty is 612. The University also has some foreign students from different countries in its rolls.

Prospectus :
The prospectus for admission is available at the University from the month of April and the prices of the forms are Rs.200 for general streams and Rs. 500 for special streams like Engineering and Technology, Architecture, and Mass Communication.
