Ramjas School

INTRODUCTION

Ramjas School, considered to be one of the pioneers of school education in Delhi was established in 1971 by the Ramjas Foundation and has since acquired the status of a full-fledged school. With approximately 1150 students and 70 staff members on its rolls, the school strives to offer quality education to its students from class VI to XII. A co-educational institution, the school was established with the objective of creating and sustaining an environment where the student has the opportunity to learn, explore and discover not only the outer world but his own self as well. Ramjas School is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education and has been recognized by the Directorate of Education, Delhi.

Ramjas School has a wide number of courses in all the three streams viz. Commerce, Science, and Humanities. The school also offers a variety of extra curricular activities that include sports, adventure, and culture. Also, there are regular jungle camps, treks, and rock climbing training camps. Essay writing, dramatics, music and dance, and art and craft are also a regularly organized.

The objective of the school is not only to ensure the academic growth of the pupils but also ensure the overall development of their personality and self-esteem. Needless to say, there is a strong emphasis on inculcating values among the students and simultaneously including innovative and progressive methods in the teaching process. As part of this teaching process excursions are also organized regularly. The school strives to create a social order where ideas, relationships and intellectual adventures get shape.
