IIT Health Center |
Students of IIT's are entailed to a number of health services and facilities. To take care of the health related matters of its students, IIT's have set up their own board for students welfare. The health centers have been set up to take care of the daily welfare needs and emergency medical requirements of its students.
IIT Health Centers are equipped with state of the art medical facilities. Most IIT health centers are situated very near to the campuses of the institutes. The IIT health centers offer round the clock services as well as emergency medical facilities for its students.

IIT Delhi Health Center
IIT Delhi has a centrally located hospital in the campus of the institute. The hospital has a Pathology lab, an X-ray department, a Dental Unit, an Elcectrocardiogram ( ECG) facility and an Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The hospital also provides round-the-clock emergency medical facilities as well as 24 hours ambulance service for transfer of patients from the IIT campus to IIT Hospital.
IIT Madras Health Center
The IIT Madras campus hospital has a team of 12 dedicated doctors 36 supporting staff members. The hospital is equipped with modern facilities and services. The hospital also has its own clinical laboratory service. All general health problems relating to the students, employees and their families are taken care of by the hospital.
The hospital also provides ambulance services.
IIT Kanpur Health Center
IIT Kanpur boasts of a health center that is dedicated towards ensuring good health of the students of the institute and its patients. The health center also provides 24x7 hours emergency services, all through the year. The health center always has at least one on duty medical officer. The health center also provides healthy dietary charts to be followed to ensure a good health.
IIT Kharagpur Health Center
Students of IIT Kharagpur requiring medical attention are referred to the B.C.Roy Technology Hospital The hospital is located at the center of the campus of the institution. The hospital provides medical assistance to students suffering from common ailments.
IIT Roorkee Health Center
IIT Roorkee hospital offers prompt medical assistance for the students living in the campus of the institute. The hospital also has a 24 hour emergency ward that provides a host of other medical facilities and services. The hospital also has its own laboratories. The hospital has modern and state of the art medical equipments.
IIT Bombay Health Center
IIT Bombay campus houses a 60 bed hospital with full time doctors and visiting specialists. The hospital consists of its own pathological labs, X - ray and ECG facilities as well as an ambulance service. The hospital provides free medical facilities to the students of the institute.
IIT Guwahati Health Center
IIT Guwahati provides medical facilities to the staff and students of the institute through the dispensary which is located in the institute campus. A number of approved private nursing homes including the Guwahati Neurological Research Center (GNRC) are located nearby the institute. IIT Guwahati also has its own 19 bedded hospital.
