Introduction:
The International Foundation for Studies and Culture (IFSC) is an educational body functioning under the Cultural Department of the Embassy & the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in India. IFSC has the objective of making the Indian student fraternity aware of the education system prevailing in Russia.
The Cultural Department of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation based in Mumbai, along with
the IFSC, assists Indian students who wish to enroll themselves in Russian Universities. Besides its head office in Mumbai, the IFSC also has offices in Pune, Kolkata, Chennai and other cities of India. Through its subsidiary offices, IFSC provides necessary guidance to students who are unable to visit the Mumbai office.
IFSC works with the single-minded devotion of bridging the gap between the cultural traditions prevailing in India and Russia so that the students feel at home while studying in Russian universities.
Russian Education System:
Students who wish to pursue courses in medicine, aviation, aerospace and engineering are provided specialized training in Russian universities which have earned a name for themselves in the field of education over the years. The Medical Universities in Russia occupy a pride of place in the annals of the World Health Organization and students from all parts of the world crave for medical education from these universities. It is in this respect that the IFSC provides valuable guidance and expert advice through their years of experience and presence in the different Russian cities. The Russian higher education system stands on solid ground and gives its Western counterparts a run for their money.
However, no capitation fees are charged by the universities in Russia for admission purposes and students do not have to sit for entrance tests like SAT, CET, GRE or TOEFL.
