Jim Sutton
Jim Sutton has a long history in the high tech industry, including research at IBM Research Division, 12 years at
Hewlett-Packard (rising from Engineer through General Manager), and a number of VP of Engineering/Technology positions. He has also been an executive in a number of Silicon Valley start-ups, including CEO, and he is currently CEO of 3 different start-ups in the Internet business space. Mr. Sutton has worked with a number of venture capitalists as an advisor and as a bridge to small companies seeking funding. He has an S.B. degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), an S.M. (MBA) degree from the Sloan School of Management at MIT, and he has completed most of the Ph.D. program in Business Administration from Stanford University. Mr. Sutton is on the advisory board of another late stage start-up. At Hewlett-Packard, he was responsible for company-wide recruiting from MIT, the University of California (both Santa Cruz and Davis), and the State University of New York. Mr. Sutton has built and managed large, multi-location/multi-national product development teams, including North America, Europe, East Asia, and South Asia.
Karin Hollerbach, PhD
Karin Hollerbach, PhD, founded and serves as CEO of Taku Group, a business and financing advisory firm, specializing in implementing significant growth transitions of privately held companies via strategic partnerships in the US, Europe, and Asia. Dr Hollerbach has served as CEO, President, EVP, VP Technology, VP Products, and other senior roles in for-profit and non-profit organizations spanning high-tech, software, and life sciences. She holds undergraduate degrees in EECS and in Molecular Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), an MS degree in Electrical Engineering from UC Berkeley, a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from a joint program at UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco, and an executive certificate from the Haas School of Business. Dr Hollerbach is a Director on the board of MIT’s Northern California alumni organization, serving close to 9,000 regional alumni/ae, where she also served previously as President. She serves on the boards of two privately held companies and previously served as Trustee of the flagship hospital in an organization of 40+ hospitals. Dr Hollerbach has traveled extensively, in North and South America, Asia, Australia, Europe, and Africa. She speaks multiple languages.
Simarprit Singh, Managing Director and CEO, Compare Infobase Limited
Simarprit Singh is the founder and CEO of Compare Infobase Limited. He has a B.Com degree in Statistics and a
Post-graduate diploma in Computer Applications. Simar, as he’s popularly known, began his career as a Research Associate at NIIT. He left to become an entrepreneur and set up DISC (Information Technology) Pvt. Ltd. While at DISC, he made a presentation to the United Nations on Information Technologies and Developing Countries. He later served as the VP of Business Development at Nucleus Software, prior to his return to entrepreneurship at Compare Infobase. In 1998, Compare Infobase was born. From then on, he’s been instrumental in growing Compare Infobase as a leading web design and web development company.
