Jagan Institute of Management Studies
If you wish to pursue your Management education in Delhi, you can enroll in Jagan Institute of Management Studies. Known as one of the finest B-schools in Delhi, it was established by Jagan Nath Gupta Memorial Educational Society. JIMS is located across 1.1 acres of land in Institutional Area of Rohini, Delhi.
Courses at Jagan Institute of Management Studies:
- You can pursue a full-time program of Post Graduate Diploma in Management. Association of Indian Universities considers this 2 year- PGDM equivalent to an MBA degree endowed by any Indian University.
- Sanctioned by All India Council for Technical Education of Indian Ministry of HRD, JIMS also offers a part-time Post Graduate Diploma course in Management.
Eligibility for admission to JIMS:
- A candidate who has a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a university recognized by UGC and at least 50% marks in total can apply for full-time PGDM program. If you are still awaiting your results of the qualifying exam, you can also apply.
- You can apply for the part-time PGDM program if you have a Bachelor’s degree from a university recognized by UGC.
Application Procedure of JIMS:
You can collect the application form for the PGDM program from the corporate office of JIMS. You can also download the form from the home site of JIMS or apply online. The filled-in application form should be submitted at the JIMS corporate office with a D.D of Rs 750, drawn in favor of "Jagan Institute of Management Studies". The D.D should also be payable at Delhi. While submitting the application form, you need to enclose some other documents including the attested copies of you Class X and XII mark sheets and certificates, your character certificate as well as the qualifying test result (if the result is already published).
The deadline for admission for the MBA program for 2009 is 15th May 2009. The date for interview is July 11th 2009.
Selection for JIMS:
Your name can be short-listed for the full-time PGDM program on the basis of your CAT and MAT scores. The short-listed candidate will then be screened through a written test, group discussion and interview. For the academic session 2009-2010, the full time PGDM course will begin from 01.07.08.
Placement Opportunities:
Corporate Resource Management Center of JIMS also offers placement opportunities for the students. Several renowned organizations take part in the campus placement programs of JIMS and recruit JIMS pass-outs as their employees.
